Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Pappalardo specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders (including health anxiety, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety), depression, OCD, and trauma-related concerns. She also treats chronic insomnia, trichotillomania, dermatillomania and substance use issues. She has a particular interest in supporting clients through navigating career changes or retirement. She works with adults of all ages and tailors evidence-based treatment to each client’s unique needs through a collaborative approach. In addition to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) Dr. Pappalardo also has expertise in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Dr. Pappalardo earned her B.A. in Psychology from New York University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with Health Emphasis from Ferkauf Graduate School (Yeshiva University). She completed her predoctoral internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, where she provided CBT and mindfulness-based interventions to adults with cancer and individuals struggling with substance use. She has trained across inpatient, outpatient, and medical settings (including oncology, endocrinology, and primary care clinics), with extensive experience addressing the connection between mental and physical health.
